Industry / Multi-Location Enterprises

Multi-location enterprises.
Standardized data, local pages, cross-location attribution.

Every multi-location enterprise crosses the same threshold at roughly 15–20 locations: the tools that worked at 5 (spreadsheets, per-location agencies, ad-hoc GBP management) break down, and the tools that scale to 100 (governance systems, standardized data, cross-location reporting) haven't been built yet. That's the install we specialize in.

DIRECT ANSWER

Multi-location enterprises need the six-capability-layer stack purpose-built for the operating reality of dozens or hundreds of locations: standardized location data as a single source of truth, brand-consistent per-location landing pages generated from that data, franchisee- or GM-visible dashboards, cross-location attribution, and governance systems that keep the whole thing consistent as locations open, close, or change. Not a checklist — an operating model.

The vertical, in writing

Who we are talking about.

01 · REVENUE MODEL
Multi-unit revenue; franchise royalties + advertising fees; corporate + owned locations
02 · TEAM SIZE
50–2,000+ employees · 15–500+ locations
03 · STACK
Franchise CRM / Yext / Uberall + BrightLocal · corporate marketing tech · per-location booking or POS
04 · CHALLENGE
Location-data drift, GBP consistency, franchisee visibility, cross-location attribution

Capability priorities

Where multi-location engagements deliver the most leverage.

PRIORITY · 01

Standardized location data

One source of truth for NAP, hours, categories, attributes, service areas — feeding every downstream surface (website pages, GBP, aggregators, ad platforms). Drift kills local ranking; governance stops it.

PRIORITY · 02

Per-location landing pages

Programmatic generation of location-specific pages from the standardized dataset. Same brand voice, unique local content (services, hours, team, reviews, driving directions). Not stub pages — real ones.

PRIORITY · 03

Cross-location GBP governance

Category discipline, attribute standardization, photo cadence, post cadence, review response — all managed centrally with per-location edit rights where appropriate. Yext + our own governance overlay for franchise systems.

PRIORITY · 04

Franchisee / GM dashboards

Location-level visibility for the operator: how am I ranking, what's my review velocity, where are my leads coming from, what's the corporate marketing effort delivering to my unit? Kills "corporate doesn't do anything for us" tension.

PRIORITY · 05

Cross-location attribution

Marketing spend at the corporate level attributed back to specific-unit revenue. Multi-touch across channels + attribution windows tuned for local buyer journeys (typically 7–30 days for services).

PRIORITY · 06

Review engine at scale

Repeatable per-location review-acquisition motion that doesn't require a person at each location doing outreach. Booking-system integration or POS-triggered review requests.

Layer fit

Which capability layers matter most.

  • 01

    Search & Discoverability

Critical. Multi-location businesses live and die on local search consistency across dozens or hundreds of locations.

  • 02

    Applications

Critical. Location-data platform, per-location dashboards, governance tooling — usually the piece that doesn't exist yet.

  • 03

    Intelligence & Analytics

Critical. Cross-location attribution, per-unit performance, corporate rollup reporting — the data layer everything else reads from.

  • 04

    Marketing Systems

High. Corporate campaigns + local activation, cross-channel lifecycle, franchisee co-op marketing systems.

  • 05

    Revenue Operations

High. Multi-location CRM patterns, cross-unit pipeline, franchisee lead-routing.

  • 06

    Automation & Integration

High. Integrations between franchise CRM, GBP management, per-location POS/booking, corporate reporting.

Common challenges

What we see in this vertical, repeatedly.

PATTERN · 01

Location-data drift

Every location has slightly different NAP, hours, categories in GBP, in the aggregators, on the website — because there's no single source of truth. Every drift is a local-SEO signal loss.

PATTERN · 02

Franchisee-corporate visibility gap

"Corporate doesn't tell me what's happening" from franchisees; "franchisees don't engage with what we do" from corporate. Both are true — because there's no shared dashboard for either side to look at the same numbers.

PATTERN · 03

Per-location pages that don't exist or are thin

/locations/city page that lists 40 units with a phone number and hours, but no actual per-location content, schema, or ranking signal. Corporate promises local relevance; the site doesn't deliver it.

Typical engagement

How a project usually starts.

  1. 01Most multi-location engagements start with a Systems Audit covering location data + GBP consistency + per-location page quality baseline.
  2. 02First Sprint typically installs the standardized location dataset + programmatic per-location page generator (6–10 weeks).
  3. 03Second Sprint often adds franchisee / GM dashboards and cross-location attribution.
  4. 04Custom Build engagements common — franchise-specific applications, corporate marketing rollup dashboards, per-location co-op systems.
  5. 05Embedded Retainer post-launch runs governance, monthly consistency audits, and franchisee dashboard iteration.

FAQ

Vertical-specific questions.

01We're a franchise system — do you work with franchisors or franchisees?+

Both, but usually the engagement starts at the corporate level. Franchisees benefit from the systems we install (dashboards, per-location pages, review engines) but the standardization and governance work has to be corporate-owned.

02How many locations before this makes sense?+

The break-even threshold is usually 15–20 locations. Below that, per-location manual work is faster and cheaper. Above ~50 locations, not installing this pattern actively hurts you every month.

03We already use Yext — is that enough?+

Yext solves the citation propagation piece well. It doesn't solve the per-location page generation, franchisee visibility dashboards, cross-location attribution, or the governance layer above it. We're typically layered on top of Yext or Uberall.

04Can you work with our corporate franchise CRM?+

Yes — we've worked with Naranga, FranchiseSoft, ClientTether, PowerBI-backed custom CRMs, HubSpot with franchise customizations, and Salesforce Franchise Cloud. The integration pattern is consistent across.

05Do you handle GBP for hundreds of locations?+

Governance and pattern-setting, yes. The day-to-day per-location work is typically done in Yext / Uberall / BrightLocal by the corporate marketing team. We install the systems that make that day-to-day sustainable.

06Can you build a franchisee-facing SaaS dashboard?+

Yes — this is a common Custom Build for our multi-location clients. React + Supabase + tenant-scoped RLS, franchisee-visible metrics, comparison to peer units, corporate-shared reporting.

07How does pricing work for enterprise engagements?+

Audit: fixed fee, mid-high five figures depending on location count. Implementation Sprints: 6–10 weeks, fixed fee, mid-to-high five figures. Custom Builds (dashboards, franchisee tools): 8–20 weeks, low-to-mid six figures. Embedded Retainer: $10K–$25K/month.

08How long before we see results?+

Per-location page rollout impact: 6–10 weeks. Location-data drift impact on ranking: 8–12 weeks. Franchisee-dashboard engagement lift: 2–3 months. Cross-location attribution insight: usable within 30 days of install.
